2001 - 2016
I built a broad skill set and gained lots of experience through a 15-year corporate career. I started as a PA, spent some time as a Business Manager and finally moved into a project role as Global Transformation & Change Manager, and People Manager within the HR Operations team of a FTSE100 telecoms company.
2016 - 2018
I made a complete career change as I was craving a corporate detox and needed a change of pace. So I became a full-time watercolour artist, watercolour tutor, and Creative Business Owner.
I loved it! And became very familiar with the challenges of running a business.
Wanting to utilise my skills and experience to help others successfully manage the challenge of running a business, I launched The Creative Shed. I have combined all my skills and experience to provide a consulting service and toolkits. I centered my services around start-ups and business owners who felt stuck.
I had my first speaking event with The Shire Collective in Newbury.
I on-boarded my first consultancy client.
I launched the Bitesize Business Blog on my website. It's packed with short articles to help Business Owners manage their businesses.
I ran my first Content Planning Workshops which sold out in just a few days!
I refreshed my visual branding and website (which is still a work in progress!)
I launched the Business Start-Up Toolkit ... the original idea I had for The Creative Shed. An affordable guide, with templates, to help creatives set up a business.
I relocated to the Dorset coast from Berkshire.
I reviewed my business (following the same structure I use with clients) and decided to redesign my services to align more closely with my growing client base and skill set. My services are now centered on business change and transformation.
